Anaerobic adhesives are solvent-free and one-component reactive adhesives. They are often used in industry due to their high temperature resistance and resistance to various media.
The adhesives are easy to use as they have a long potlife / working time and harden at room temperature. The curing of the glue does not begin until the glue comes in contact with metalinoes, and is excluded from oxygen.
LOCTITE 248 is a blue, medium-strength thread-locking adhesive in a drip-free, easy-to-apply adhesive form. It is suitable for all metal threaded joints.
LOCTITE® 248 is a standard threaded lock with medium binding strength. This product is available in a practical stick format. This threaded lock secures and seals bolts, nuts and pins to prevent them from coming loose due to vibration. The product works on all metals, including passive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminum and coated surfaces. It has been shown to be tolerant of minor pollution due to industrial oils, e.g. engine oils, anti-corrosion oils and cutting fluids.

Lim og viskositet
I forbindelse med beskrivelse af limens egenskaber forekommer begrebet viskositet, men hvad betyder det ? Viskositet er et begreb der anvendes til at beskrive limens træghed, altså hvor tyndflydende eller tykflydende en lim er. Viskositeten måles oftes ved omrørirng af en væske. Den kraft der skal bruges til omrøringen udtrykkes som Pascal. Det er naturligvis vigtigt at have for øje, at forskellige medier ændred viskositet alt efter om det er varmt eller koldt. En væske bliver mere for eksempel tyndflydende når den er varm.
